Visitors Revisited

In an effort to move past the sadness from losing my granma, I'll do a catch-up blog on a very fun weekend we had shortly before Christmas when our friends, Sarah, Brad and Logan, came to visit us. They were in South Carolina with family for the holidays, and came up to visit us since they were so 'close' (as compared to being in Florida). It was SO great to have them here, and so fun. And they were our first official visitors to the new house, so that made everything extra exciting. (okay, not really that much more exciting, but we did have fun.)

It was a partial reunion of the 'preggo possee' and it was great to get to see Logan and Eliza walking around together . There wasn't much sustained interaction; they are only toddlers after all. Plus I think Logan was a little bit overwhelmed by the commotion that accompanies having two extra children around. But all the kids managed just fine, even if Logan refused to bathe with the girls. (yep, he's going to hear about that for the rest of his life.) :)
So what did we do with a houseful of 4 adults, 2 toddlers and 1 preschooler? Not too much. We went out a couple times, to our favorite Mexican place and favorite barbecue joint. We walked to the park, to enjoy some chilly sunshine. Hayden showed the little kids the fun of the bouncy bridge and Jason tried to get Logan to fly.

But mostly we played inside. Hayden tried to get Sarah to read her as many books as possible.

And the three kids played with just about every toy they could find:
the nativity set (Logan's prefered play method was to dump all nativity characters to the floor)

Nugget, our zhu-zhu pet (So funny to watch them all chase it around)

Germs (Literally right before sharing this with Eliza, Logan had the bottle in his own mouth. )
As you can see, we just kind of tried to keep the kids all the same place, and then they each went about their own business. It was chaotic, yet fun. And then we tried to do a group photo. First Logan tried to escape, then Eliza. Hayden tried her best to keep them in place. Can you feel the desperate toddler desire to not sit still?!!!

Here's the "best" one. Yes, Nugget made it in the picture. And yes, they are wearing PJs.
