Two months and more

Molly is two months old today! How time flies! She had her two month checkup on Wednesday and she is looking good. 8 lbs 15 oz, 22 inches long. That puts her in the 10th percentile for weight (up from 5th percentile!) and 45th percentile for height. If you had told me while I was pregnant that I'd have a baby in the 10th percentile (after having 2 that were in the 99th percentile or off the charts!), I never would have believed you. But the doctor said she looks great and is doing well. Now if only she'd let me get a little bit more sleep at night...

don't ya love her ladybug sleeper? It even has wings on the back and a matching hat!

Today was also the costume parade at Hayden's preschool. She went as Glinda the good witch. (or a princess.) The kids were pretty darn cute with all their costumes. I think my favorite was a little boy who was dressed like a ups man - all in brown and carrying a package!
waving to her adoring fan(s)

and I finally got Eliza singing on tape. She LOVES to sing these days and we LOVE to hear her (mostly!). Notice how she finishes the ABCs with "Good singing everybody!" I think she picked that up from school.

One final thing: Can you tell who is who in these two month old photos?!!!

That's Molly, Eliza, Molly, Eliza. ;)

Happy two months birthday Molly! (yes we have a lot of Halloween outfits for her!)

Sanford Family Fun Time

A couple weekend ago, the Sanford side of the family came into town and Molly got to meet aunts and cousins and Uncle "T". It was great fun to have everyone all together. The cousins had a blast together. We went to a corn maze. We rode bikes and played at the playground. Bedtimes were relaxed, without too many breakdowns. Grandchildren were spoiled. We even got to try porchetta.

I'd go into more detail about how much fun we had, but it's almost time for Molly to eat again and me to go to bed. So I'll just give you some pictures from the weekend. Just know we had a great time!

The Corn Maze Outing: We started off with a wagon ride through the forest. Then walked the corn maze. Hayden and Jay had a great time finding the posts throughout, identifying the numbers, and then answering the clues (for a crossword) that were on each post.

Once we conquered the maze, there were tons of other fun things to do. A bounce house, which even Eliza got to try out. (don't tell them she was wearing a diaper!) She was tentative at first, but got more used to it. And had a blast went Aunt Katie was allowed to join her in the bounce house since no other kids were in it. Hayden and Jay had fun tormenting JT on the outside.
There were also little carts (of all different sizes) to ride. Charlotte LOVED zipping around with her dad!

Hanging at Popop and Grandma's: One night was birthday party night: Aunt Katie brought a whole bunch of presents for all the kids (Even grownups too!) I made a special dessert of chocolate peanut butter pudding cake for Lacey's birthday that Eliza went around to all adults begging for. (The kids just had ice cream earlier.)

Eliza and Charlotte enjoying Eliza's new drum.

Mooching...
We love Aunt Katie!
Watching Cars before bedtime. Pile on Aunt Katie!
All the cousins!
Cutie pie Charlotte!
At the playground: One afternoon we went to the playground in our neighborhood. The kids had fun. Charlotte tested her mom's reflexes by almost falling off the bouncy bridge. Molly slept thru the whole thing.

Heading out. Can you see that Hayden is holding Charlotte's hand? So cute!
The Thomasville crew headed home on Sunday to get back for work and school, but Aunt Katie stuck around a bit longer. She got some more quality snuggle time with Molly. And she tried to recruit Hayden and Eliza to come back to Idaho with her. They were almost willing - if only she'd had more ice cream to bribe them with. They did play "packing up to go to Idaho" for the next few days so I think they are ready to go visit her!
